Acquisition Management Analyst (Senior Level)

The position will provide comprehensive support in acquisition reporting, congressional and public affairs for our NAVSEA customer. Specific duties include:

  • Develop acquisition program documentation in compliance with current DoD acquisition policy for Government approval.

  • Research requirements and draft assigned acquisition documents for Government final approval using data provided by the Program Office as GFI.\

  • Develop, coordinate, analyze, review, maintain, and track acquisition program documentation for Government final issuance and coordinate approvals.

  • Provide assessments of relevant options and provide recommendations on relevant cost, schedule, and risk factors. Documentation shall be in accordance with DoD 5000 series, DoN 5000 series, and applicable instructions and regulations.

  • Prepare draft supplemental acquisition documentation, reports, and issue papers.

  • Prepare supporting documentation for program planning and milestone decision and major acquisition events or to meet actions from the Milestone Decision Authority (MDA), PEO SUB, and auditing agencies.

  • Review and track cost, schedule, and performance metrics parameters and compare their current estimate to the Acquisition Program Baseline (APB) during major budget development exercises.

  • Prepare relevant DoD reporting requirements such as: Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS)/DoD 5000 products, Program Objective Memorandum (POM)/Procurement Request (PR) products, Acquisition Strategy Reports (ASRs), Defense Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES) reports, Selected Acquisition Reports (SARs), Program Deviation Reports (PDRs), and APB Change Reports for Government review and final approval.

  • Provide input to and analyze data within the DASHBOARD and Defense Acquisition Management Information Retrieval (DAMIR) systems provided as GFI. Candidate will also provide administrative and technical support input to, maintain, and analyze data within the ASN Research Development and Acquisition Information System (RDAIS)

  • Participate in meetings and milestone reviews by taking minutes, and tracking action items.

  • Support developing recommendations for options, strategies, and risks to support Program Offices with the preparation of Acquisition Plans (APs), Acquisition Strategies (ASs) and other acquisition planning documents


  • Years of Relevant Experience: 10+ years

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Work experience in the submarine acquisition community

  • Strong organizational and technical management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with outstanding written and oral skills

  • Practice building interactive data visualization tools in Excel
