Cost Estimating Analyst (Mid Level)

Pantheon is seeking highly motivated individuals with a desire to be part of a recent start-up. Successful candidates will have excellent communication, quantitative, research, and analytical skills in addition to the following:

Responsibilities:

The position will provide comprehensive support in analyzing likely cost impacts and associated risk of changes in a program’s schedule, capability requirements, and/or acquisition strategy to proactively drive data-driven solutions.

 

  • Develop independent or program cost estimates and accompanying risk, uncertainty and sensitivity analysis

  • Conduct analysis-of-alternatives

  • Assess the credibility of government and industry cost estimates and economic analyses

  • Evaluate the credibility of industry cost proposals

  • Assess the credibility of government and industry cost savings initiatives

  • Assess industry contract cost and schedule performance and conduct variance root cause analysis

  • Build dynamic cost models to support adequate budget formulation for customer’s requirements.

  • Risk and uncertainty analysis outputs.

  • Document and present/defend cost estimates and methodology

 

Requirements:

  • Years of Relevant Experience: 5-9 years

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or related field

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity and experience with submarine systems

  • Knowledge of maintenance practices

  • Strong organizational and technical management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with outstanding written and oral skills

  • Practice building interactive data visualization tools in Excel
